Rushan Jesani is an award-winning filmmaker from Bombay, where he began his journey studying under the legendary Ramesh Sippy before earning his Master’s in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. His debut film, Khadda, brought him widespread recognition, winning Best Debut Director at the Ayodhya Film Festival, Best Short Film (Jury) at the Lake City Film Festival, and Best Short Screenplay at the Vishaka Film Festival.
With over 30 projects under his belt, Rushan combines passion, versatility, and a relentless work ethic in everything he does. Drawing inspiration from his father and his background in sports, he believes in the power of teamwork, constant practice, and pushing boundaries. For Rushan, filmmaking is deeply personal—a way to connect, inspire, and bring dreams to life. Guided by the belief, "If you accept your dreams, you won’t accept your life. If you accept your life, you won’t go for your dreams," he’s not just a dreamer—he’s a doer who thrives on turning visions into reality.
